Hi my name is Kellie-Jean and here are my babies!
Hi, I’m Kellie-Jean! I’ve always been a big animal lover, but dogs are my weakness and hold a very special place in my heart. Nutrition has always been important to me, so naturally, I wanted the best diet for my dogs. At first, I fed what was typically recommended—name-brand kibble—but I hated all the fillers and preservatives. I often supplemented their diet with homemade meals and treats, but my dogs still suffered from chronic ear infections, hot spots, allergies, goopy eyes, and weight gain. Their coats weren’t great, and their nails were brittle. I was convinced it was their food.

After years of frustration and being told that kibble was "FDA approved and the best option," I finally met a certified canine nutritionist in 2016 while searching for our late Finnegan. She took the time to mentor me, teaching me everything my dogs needed nutritionally and opening up a whole new world. We switched to a well-balanced raw diet, and within two weeks, I saw an incredible transformation in my dogs’ health and energy. We’ve stuck with it ever since and never looked back.
As we spent countless hours training and working with our dogs, I struggled to find healthy, high-value treats that held up throughout the day. Freeze-dried treats crumbled, and cooked meats like liver and turkey were messy and spoiled quickly—especially if forgotten in a pocket! So, I started making my own dehydrated treats using the same whole foods I fed my dogs. They loved them, and they held up perfectly. Soon, friends and family started asking for them, and before I knew it, I was selling them to help cover expensive vet bills following Finnegan’s cancer diagnosis.

I had no expectations, especially since I was making things people might find unusual—like hearts and duck feet—but the response was incredible. What started as a small side gig quickly grew into something much bigger. I love being able to provide healthy, nutritious treats, meet pet parents and their dogs, and share what I’ve learned over the years. Our little business has taken off, but I still make every treat the way I always have—using whole, real foods, sourced in small batches, right from my home.
A Few Fun Facts About Me!
- I’m a self-taught artist who’s totally into pyrography (aka this includes wood burning), painting, and impasto. If I’m not working with dogs, you’ll probably find me creating something with my hands.
- Nature is my happy place—birds, bugs, trees, gardening... I love it all.
- I really enjoy working with dogs, especially the ones who need a little extra understanding—like reactive dogs. Helping them feel safe and confident is something I care deeply about.
- Rottweilers have my heart. They’re not for everyone, but I love their brains, loyalty, work ethic, big goofy personalities, and those giant hearts.
- I’ve helped whelp and raise litters of puppies—everything from early neurological stimulation to temperament testing and nutrition. I’m all about giving them the best start.
- I’ve also been involved in puppy classes, basic training, rally obedience, CGC testing, and even some AKC and UKC dog show handling. I’ve had my hands in a bit of everything.
- Shelter volunteer? Yup! And I’ve worked closely with reactive dogs there, too.
- Oh, and I’ve spent time on a big farm—caring for cows, donkeys, goats, pigs… the whole crew. I loved sharing that life with the public through education and hands-on care.
- Before diving fully into the dog world, I worked with special needs kids for 11 years while raising my two boys. It was a big part of my journey and taught me so much about compassion and patience.
